Multimedia

Welcome to our multimedia network of designers, developers, and coders.

I basically grew up with a keyboard in my hand. My dad was one of the lucky ones to get to work with a computer early on and once the personal computer came out he had to have it. With technology all around me I have had the opportunities to try many different media of digital representation. Yet, with so much to choose from I never got really into one specific thing. I have gleaned the surface of many programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Dream Weaver, and more. Plus I have had time with programs like Bryce and 3D Studio Max. Also, I have a handhold in programming with Java and C++. Yet, if you asked me to make anything spectacular in any of these I most likely wouldn’t be able to. I hope to remedy this in Problems and Solutions and also prepare myself for the college experience. I want to go to college at one of two places. I want to go to either UT here in Austin or at the University of North Texas. UT has a great computer science program and many clubs and classes relative to game design, while UNT has a game design program that is separate from its computer science program. In college I want to pursue a degree in computer science and also take as many classes as I can in video game design. Game design is the one career that I have wished to have and with a computer science degree and experience with art programs and digital media I will have the kind of experience wanted by design companies. Plus, the computer science degree will also open doors for fall-back plans like becoming a computer programmer or the like.
